A dictation app that makes $18K a month

Kourosh built Voicy, an app that turns speech into text. He made it for his dad, who works on his computer all the time and took 3 days to write one email. It works because you can talk instead of type, and it works everywhere.

How it makes money

Apps like this usually charge a monthly fee for people to keep using them. Kourosh runs Voicy as a side project.

What it takes

Kourosh started by building the app for one person, his dad, after he used ChatGPT's dictation. A business like this needs speech-to-text software that works in any app on a computer.
